Launch
Launch
An 8-0-0 liquid starter fertilizer enriched with fully chelated micronutrients — designed to fuel early vegetative growth, correct common deficiencies, and give crops the best possible start at planting and beyond.
The first few weeks after planting are some of the most nutrient-critical of the season. Roots are small, soil is often cold or wet,
and the plant's ability to pull nutrition from the soil is limited. Launch is built for that window.
Launch delivers nitrogen, sulfur, zinc, manganese, and boron in a fully chelated, amino acid-complexed form. That chelation is key — it protects nutrients from binding to soil particles and keeps them available even in high-pH or calcium-heavy conditions where standard micronutrients would tie up.
The amino acid chelator is biodegradable and improves leaf absorption when Launch is applied as a foliar, making it an effective addition to postemergence herbicide passes. Herbicides are known to stress crops and create temporary micronutrient deficiencies — Launch applied in that tank can offset those effects and help the crop recover faster.
"Good early nutrition means a more uniform stand, stronger root architecture, and a crop that's better positioned to handle stress later in the season."
When to Apply
• Infurrow at planting (starter application)
• 2x2 placement at planting
• Foliar — excellent with postemergence herbicide passes.
What It's For: Early-season nutrition; correcting
micronutrient deficiencies; enhancing herbicide pass efficiency; improving
stand uniformity.
Nutrient Profile: 8-0-0 with 3% S, 3% Zn, 3% Mn, 0.25% B — 100% amino acid chelated
Application Rate: 16–32 oz per acre
Crops: All crop types — especially corn, soybeans, small grains
Compatibility: Compatible with most starter and foliar programs; good tank mix with postemergence herbicides
Packaging: Liquid — each jug treats 10–20 acres
Why is Launch chelated with amino acids instead of EDTA?
Amino acid chelation is biodegradable and doesn't leave residual chemistry in the soil. It also improves foliar absorption because plant cells recognize and process amino acids naturally. EDTA is synthetic and holds nutrients tightly — sometimes too tightly for the plant to release them efficiently.
Can I use Launch in my herbicide pass?
Yes — that's one of the best uses for it. Postemergence herbicides can create temporary micronutrient stress, particularly zinc and manganese deficiencies. Adding Launch to that tank provides the crop with immediately available nutrition to offset the stress and support recovery.
What's the difference between Launch and a standard 10-34-0 starter?
10-34-0 is a phosphorus-heavy macro fertilizer. Launch is specifically formulated around micronutrients that are often deficient early — zinc, manganese, and boron — plus sulfur for amino acid synthesis. They serve different roles. Launch complements a macro program rather than replacing it.
Is Launch compatible with liquid starters like 10-34-0 or AMS?
Generally yes, but always perform a jar test before mixing. The amino acid chelator is stable across a range of pH levels, but confirming compatibility with your specific tank mix is always good practice.
